Growing up on the Water in Lake County
Trout Lake Nature Center invites you to join us on Friday June 27th, at 6:00 pm for a Naturalist Program, "Growing up on the Water in Lake County". Two area biologists Joe Branham and Lance Lumbard will be our speakers.
These two men did indeed grow up "on the water" in Lake County. From different generations, one the teacher, one the student, they both grew up fishing, exploring and adventuring in the lakes, springs, and swamps of the county. Joe and Lance will share stories from their childhood. Stories of alligator wrestling, giant gar, and since they are both scientists, they will touch on water quality in the past and in the present
This evening will be fun for the whole family and just a tiny bit educational too.
To join us at Trout Lake Nature Center proceed North of Eustis on Rt. 19 to CR 44. Turn East between the Walgreens and CVS, continue 0.3 miles to the entrance on the right. The Center is open all day on Friday so arrive early and walk the boardwalk and trails. You are welcome to bring a picnic supper or we will have refreshments. There is a suggested $2.00 donation for the program. For more information call Trout Lake at 352-357-7536.
