Saturday Morning Outdoors

Summers are meant to be spent in the fresh air and sunshine, but sometimes we need a little extra push to get us up and get out.

How about this for motivation: shrimp you can see through, an insect with a mouse trap for its mouth, a father so dedicated he carries his off-spring around on his back, an insect which could well have been the inspiration for the aqua lung.

Join us at Trout Lake Nature Center, June 7th, at 9:30am for a Naturalist led walk down the boardwalk, over the marsh, and to the lake. There we may find these amazing creatures and more. No matter exactly which aquatic animals are found in our nets that morning, it will be a great day outdoors!

To reach TLNC travel north of Eustis on Rte. 19, turn right or East onto CR 44 (Publix / Winn Dixie intersection), and proceed .3 mile to the entrance on the right.

Trout Lake Nature Center's official Summer hours will be 9:00am to 12:30pm Tuesday through Saturday, or anytime you drive by and the gate is open. To schedule a guided tour or to reserve a space for this water activity, please call 352-357-7536.
