Volunteer Opportunities

Trout Lake Nature Center was founded by volunteers, and continues to rely on volunteers for most of its activities. We always welcome new helpers, and there are a lot of activities to choose from.

Docents are always needed to help with our educational programs for school children (training is provided.) If you’d like to work at home, you might cut tree branches into circles, to be used to make "tree cookie" necklaces for one of the class activities. Our gift shop is always in need of small craft items which the children can buy; this might be a good activity for a craft-making group. Lots of help is needed for maintenance work, indoors and out. Or maybe you are a computer geek who would like to help with the website?

Check the following list for more possibilities, fill in your name and phone number or e-mail address, and we’ll get in touch with you.
